Framingham is located on the Sudbury River, accessible by Interstate 95. Framingham was originally known as Danforth's Farm, a 250-acre parcel of land given to Thomas Danforth in 1660. Mr. Danforth was a native of England, and renamed the area Framingham, after his hometown in England of the same name.
